THE FORM

and select APPLY.
You will be asked to register and then you will be given a user name and password.

I advise you to email these to yourself now or you will forget them. Never tell anyone what they are or they will be able to send a form in your name and you won’t be able to apply with identical details!  Some people think this is entertaining!
When you have logged in with your password you will have a number of sections of the form to work through.  It is all fairly straightforward but here are tips on the tricky bits.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
List your GCSEs and the grades you got.
List the AS Level modules that you have taken
List the A Levels you are taking.
You need not enter your predicted grades; we do that on the reference.

Fee Code
Usually you look at the drop down menu and choose LEA.  Your LEA is either Cornwall or Devon depending on which authority receives your parents’ council tax.  If you are not a British citizen this might be different for you.  See us.

Disability Codes
Don’t forget that Dyslexia is counted here.  It will not count against you if you declare a disability.

You will be asked questions about nationality, ethnicity and the occupational background of your family.  These questions are not considered by unis when deciding about your application.  They are looked at afterwards to check that universities are not biased towards or against any particular group.

When you get to the end of the form you will be asked if you want to send it to your referee.   STOP!  Print the form and get your tutor and at least one other person to check it for you.  It will not be checked again before it is sent.  Then send it to the referee.  It will ask you for payment which you must do by credit or debit card.  See
us if this is a problem.  Then your form is sent to us for the reference to be added. You cannot have it back!

Who is my referee?
Probably your tutor.  If your tutor is swamped they may ask NPK/SR to do it.  They will explain this to you.  If you have not attended tutor period properly  you will have to accept that you will not get as full a reference because your tutor does not know you as well!  Sometimes you may want a particular subject teacher to write a reference for you as a special favour.  They do not have to do this and should not be pestered and it may take them longer since it is not part of their job and it is a specialised skill.  If they agree to do it you should be suitably grateful.  Your reference should take about 10 days if you have done everything correctly and handed your referee the following documentation:
1.              A printed copy of your form
2.              Your check on predicted grades form. -You can print it from this website
3.
Any other certificates, employer’s references etc that you wish to be included.
Keep in touch with your referee so that they can show you the reference before it is sent.  We like you to know what we have written but if we don’t see you it goes anyway.

Is that it?
You get a notification from UCAS that they have your application and they send you a password to check the progress of your application online.  Keep it safe!

What Happens When I Start To Hear From Unis?
Universities will write to you to say that they would like to offer you a place or that they do not wish to accept you.  Don’t panic!  Most people get some rejections.
When you get a response tell your tutor.  If you want to know why they rejected you ring and ask them or get NPK/SR to do this for you.
You will be able to keep a firm acceptance and an insurance acceptance.  We will help you with this nearer the time.

3.              You don’t HAVE TO accept two offers
4.              You ARE allowed to phone or email admissions tutors

5.              Get advice.
